- Hammond Report December 20 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino - Daily Music and Stories from the organist and accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about playing my bossa nova tune "Lydia's Tune" inside the all-wood room in 's Yachtklub a few years ago - special night in playing with my Frankfurt edition of - brought his original drums from Jazz Kneipe days! tenor saxophone, playing so beautiful on his Selmer Balanced action tenor "Selmer Paris released the Balanced Action officially in 1935", guitar and yours truly Jon Hammond at the organ. On this night our friend shot the video and our dear friend master photographer made beautiful photos of our band - Andreas is greatly missed! Also a plug for Matti Sulanto, I am watching his photo tutorials a lot - highly recommend! We had a lot of friends there with us during Musikmesse time. I'll be back tomorrow with another Hammond Report, stay safe out there everybody and remember to mask up in the public!Jon Hammond

- Hammond Report December 7 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about playing a song I composed in Paris 1981 "Lydia's Tune" in trio concert in Moscow Russia with tenor saxophonist Igor Butman, Eduard Zizak drums and yours truly Jon Hammond at the organ - I had a dream to fly to Paris on the Concorde Jet, and I did in September of 1981. I wrote this song in my hotel room in the where I stayed for almost 2 months. I recorded it on my first album "Late Rent" and some 20 years later played it here in Moscow, and now we have plenty of time to think about things in retrospect in the pandemic - stay safe and keep masking up in the public folks, I'll be back with another Hammond Report tomorrow *Note: Happy Birthday December 7th! -
