Hammond Report July 18 2020 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from organist and accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about very special gig I played with my good friends on Jon Hammond Band in Eimsbüttel Hamburg, Germany Auster Bar with the front line horn section of NDR Bigband my dear friend greatly missed Lutz Büchner tenor saxophone, Michael Leuschner trumpet (Michael is also long-time leader of Landesjugendjazzorchester Mecklenberg Vorpommern), Ernst-Friedrich Fiete Felsch alto saxophone, Joe Berger electric guitar, Heinz Lichius drums and yours truly Jon Hammond at the Sk1 Hammond organ - special thanks to Claus-Dieter Rotthoff / Musik Rotthoff for the Acoustic bass amp I'm playing my organ through and Nicolai Ditsch (also excellent drummer) for manning the camera - we play down my tune "Head Phone" with story - troubling times folks, be careful out there and be sure to mask-up until the virus is under control! Jon Hammond told ya' so - I'll be back tomorrow with another Hammond Report and every day until things clear up.
