Hammond Report July 25 2020 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - daily Music & Stories from organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about the time in 1996 when I was living in Hamburg Germany and I asked Uwe Petersen (drums) if he could play a gig with me and Tony Lakatos (tenor saxophonist) in trio, first time in Jazzkeller Hofheim - so Uwe drove us all the way down to Hofheim am Taunus in his kombi (station wagon) and we had a soundcheck, and nice dinner - even a hotel! Here is the gig and the story, and big congratulations to Tony for his biography book that just came out by author Rainer Erd! I hope I can read it if an English version comes out - at least I can look at the pictures (we are not in the book) - everybody stay safe out there, mask-up in public, Jon Hammond told ya' so!
